About Halton 2409 Halton Squadron

We are part of the Air Training Corps – a national youth organization for young people aged 13-20 who have interest in aviation, adventure and fun. Halton squadron is your local squadron; we are one of the biggest and most successful air cadet squadrons in the south of England. We have over 70 cadets who take part in a wide range of activities including flying, gliding, adventure training, sports, shooting, music and a whole lot more!

We are affiliated to the Royal Air Force, so our cadets get the chance to take the controls of gliders and powered aircraft along with visiting Royal Air Forces Base all over the world. 2409 (Halton) Squadron is based on RAF Halton, so we are fortunate enough to make full use of the facilities on offer, such as a swimming pool, shooting ranges and high ropes courses. If you have an interest in aviation or joining the RAF, then this is the place to be.

We parade twice a week, on a Monday and Friday from 1900 - 2130. Also, there are many weekend activities that the cadets can enjoy including flying, radio courses, shooting weekends, paragliding etc.
